The hunger for more

It’s Sunday night. I finally come home, my high heels end up in some corner of the room and I gladly fall onto my sofa. Relax. I feel hungry. The last time I had a decent meal was on Friday at noon. You don’t eat during Fashion Weeks. For me, that’s true. I don’t have time to eat. My schedule at MQ Vienna Fashion Week was full of shows, meetings and networking. There has been a networking “breakfast” though – it was a lie, they only served tiny appetizers 😉

I order some sushi, afterwards I immediately open another app to catch up on the streams of London Fashion Week, which takes place as well at this time of the year. Fashion overkill? Not at all. I want to know all the trends of the upcoming season. I want to have a look at all the inspiring looks designed by great labels or couturiers. That’s just my passion. It’s what I love to do, although it may sound stressful to others at times.

The inspirational atmosphere

I still remember the first time ever, I entered the tent at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week last year. I got out of the subway and felt a bit lost. Everyone else seemed to know where they were heading. Not me. I had difficulties even finding the right entrance. I looked around. The sky was pitch black, it would start to rain in a minute. A storm was raging and I had a hard time keeping my short pleated skirt where it belonged. When I entered the tent, I caught on the atmosphere immediately. The tension, the hustle and bustle within seemed natural and a bit electrifying. It was where I wanted to be all along. I even felt a bit safer, while outside heavy rain was falling.

The fashionistas

If you are a fashionista like me, always dressed perfectly en vogue while walking through Vienna, you can be sure, you will not walk unnoticed. It happens very often, that others don’t get my outfits. Because they don’t understand fashion or current trends. During Fashion Week, it’s different. Fashionistas are everywhere to be seen. Here, you aren’t rewarded with strange looks because of your outfits, but with compliments and appreciation.

Today’s outfit

This post’s pictures feature three of my favorite fall trends at once: The duster coat, the sock boots and the shades of red – well I wear them more as shades of berry, as I don’t like wearing bright crimson red myself. Thanks a lot to my photographer Jubin for the great pics!

Wearing: Coat, sock boots and bag by Zara; Tank top by H&M; Pleated mesh skirt (Vintage); Jewelry by Bandherz; Sunglasses by Stilsicht;
